Our Story
Maurer Coughlin Wrestling Club (MCWC) was founded in 2010 by lifelong teammates Blake Maurer and Matt Coughlin. After standout high school and collegiate careers—earning state and national titles and collegiate All-American honors—they built MCWC to bring Big Ten standards home, modeling training after their experiences at Ohio State and Indiana University.
Today MCWC is one of Indiana’s most respected training programs, serving 200+ wrestlers ages 4–18. MCWC is a member of the Premier National League which is a league full of the best clubs and coaches all across the country. Our practices emphasize correct drilling, techniques for all skill levels, position-based sparring, live wrestling and the mindset to BE A STUD—on and off the mat.
